Menu Foods retira productos tras la muerte de varios animales
Menu Foods, empresa fabricante de alimentos para perros y gatos con sede en Canadá, está retirando del mercado 40 marcas de sus alimentos para Gatos y 51 marcas de sus alimentos para Perros, después de la muerte de varios animales tras ingerir los productos.
Los alimentos se distribuyeron en EEUU, Canadá y México a traves de grandes cadenas de supermercados como Wal-Mart, Kroger y Safeway.
La firma dijo que un número no determinado de gatos y perros habían sufrido problemas con los riñones y que más una decena murió tras ingerir la comida en mal estado. La recolección de alimentos se limita a las latas y sobres de comida y no a las croquetas (pienso seco).
